With over 102,000 inhabitants, Limerick is one of the bigger cities in Ireland. It lies in the south-west and we went there for the River Festival.
While in Ireland, one cannot oversee all these lovely castles, the ruins, the stones of history lying around in the open for willing eyes to see! We definitely were willing!
Ireland is full of smaller cities you come across while travelling through the country! One of them is a town called Nenagh, which we first visited entirely by chance.

During our holiday in Ireland, we had the luxury of a car and we used this to travel a bit around the country to discover some of the smaller villages which all had some gems to offer!
During our stay in Dublin, we wanted to experience a bit more than just the city itself. After a stop in one of the tourist centres, we decided to try the ‘Celtic Tour‘ which would take us out of Dublin and show us some really interesting places!
