Wales – Bridgend

I visited Bridgend on my way to Southerndown Beach, but as we missed the next bus and the next one would leave one hour later – we had some time to spend here and had a look around.

Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr is the welsh name of the city/town, meaning the end (or head) of the bridge on the Ogmore. It’s a small town, with interesting stores. It’s overall small, but cosy and makes visitors forget about the hurry they feel in bigger cities.

I don’t know if it’s worth to travel to Bridgend, but if you for example want to go to Southerndown, this is a good stop to spend some time and have a nice cup of tea.

Speaking of tea – I can recommend the Aroma café where they offer good drinks and really tasty snacks at a cheap price!
