Cardiff Carnival

Only a couple more days and then it’s christmas eve. Presents will be unpacked and hopefully there will be snow, or at least some cold. But it’s also the end of the year, and that’s a perfect moment to think back to the awesome events which took place in summer!

Cardiff Carnival is a colourful spectacle right in the heart of the city. The first time I saw it, it was utterly by chance. The second time, I planned my visit so that I could see this.

There are people in fantastic costumes, marching through the city, accompanied by music that makes it difficult to stand still. Performers will show their skills, either on small stages or right in the middle of the street.

The parade featuring dancers, costumes, street-bands and much more will march through the city for about two hours. It doesn’t matter if there’s sunshine or rain, so bring an umbrella if you don’t want to get wet.

The event takes place in August, but if you want to know the exact dates for the next one, check out the official homepage.
