Gardaland is an amusement park in Italy which I first went to as a little kid. Now, I still go there and enjoy the fun rides!
There are a lot of ticket options, you can buy some online, have a family ticket, include the sea park and so on. But if you buy a regular ticket on the premise it’s 40,50€ for adults.
The park is open from April until October, in December and January they have some special days when they’re open as well.
You can reach the park easily by car:
Coming from Milan? Exit at Peschiera del Garda. You’ll find the Park just a few kilometres from the motorway exit.
Coming from Venice? Exit at Sommacampagna or Peschiera del Garda. You’ll find the Park just a few kilometres from the motorway exit
Coming from Modena? Take the junction connecting to the A4 motorway towards Milan and exit at Sommacampagna or Peschiera del Garda. The park is a few kilometres from the motorway exit.
Coming from Brenner? Exit at Affi and continue along the SS dual carriageway towards Peschiera del Garda
Or by train:
Gardaland Park is only 2 Km from Peschiera del Garda railway station (Trenord Milan-Brescia-Verona line or Trenitalia Milan-Venice line).
A free shuttle bus service runs to and from Peschiera del Garda railway station and the Park.
The service runs every 30 minutes during Park opening times.
There are a lot of rides in this park, enough to easily spend two days there. In summer it is really crowded, but they offer fast passes for some attractions, which are definitely worth their money when it’s too crowded.
If you have the chance, I’d advise you to go there not on the weekend and not during the school summer break.
New in 2017 is a virtual reality add-on to roller coasters!
All in all the park’s rides are divided into categories:
These attractions are for all ages, but mostly for the smaller ones. Nontheless I really enjoy rides such as Peter Pan and Giostra Cavalli.
Here you will find the water rides, the Mammut roller coaster and Ramses, where you shoot lasers to your hearts content!
This category is not so much for the smaller ones, but for those who love quick and fun roller coasters!
There are a lot of food options and I had never any complaints about the quality. You can either enjoy fast food or hop into one of the restaurants there. Everything is decorated and with great attention to detail. Everywhere music is playing and the staff is really attentive and friendly.
There also is a hotel where you can sleep, but I’ve never been there so I cannot say anything about this one. The park, however, is one of my favourites! I love it there and every time I have the chance, I hop in there for a day and try to ride my favourite roller coaster as much as possible!
